Anno 1851

This gallery shows some of my collodion wet plates. They were made with a technique invented by Scott Archer in 1848. Collodion wet plates are hardly known today, but they were the common photographic technique between 1851 and about 1890. These pictures are side inversed uniques on metal plates (ferrotype) or black perspex (plexitype).
